How Should A Man Dress Up On His First Date

Although not every man out there will admit it, men get jitterbugs too when going out on a date; more so if it is a first date, they will naturally want to make a good impression. The clothes they wear and the appropriateness of those are important factors to consider.

Men may not be as picky or as particular as the women when it comes to fashion, but it does not mean that they do not want to look good at all. The truth is they do. Inline with this, here are a few guidelines on men’s fashion that you can make use of when you are going for an important date of your life.

First of all, think of the place where you will be bringing your special someone to. If you are going on a formal dinner, it is always best to wear a slim-fitting suit that is tailored to perfection. A pair of dress pants and dress shirt will make you look formal, serious, sincere and a gentleman in every way, while at the same time, hiding any flaws that you may have.

Then, of course, you have to wear the right footwear! Get yourself a good pair of black leather loafers and make sure they are clean and shiny. You will certainly get her attention by looking so dignified and collected!

However, if you are going on a casual day and the idea is to stroll in the park or watch a movie in a theater nearby: then, appearing dressed-up can be a total turn-off. In this case, a casual pair of jeans, a clean shirt and a pair of sporty loafers are just the things to wear. Bring along a short-cut jacket too in case it gets cold in the theater. If you are wearing a white t-shirt, a short-cut jacket in dark gray will complement the color perfectly.

If you have chosen to go for night-clubbing, you can wear something that is a bit less formal but trendier. A nice pair of jeans, a striped dress shirt and a blazer in funky color will make you look very fashionable.

When choosing the perfect outfit, therefore, the venue has a lot to say about it. Nonetheless, it is also important that you are comfortable with what you are wearing. While first impressions do count a lot, you will not be able to make a good one if you are uneasy with yourself to begin with. In short, look good but do not lose your entire personality in the process. This is what men’s fashion is all about anyway --- looking good and feeling good at the same time.
