No-Nos in Men’s Fashion

Although fashion is usually equated with women, more and more men these days are taking particular attention to how they look, the clothes they wear and so on.

Quite understandably though, not every man out there has developed the appropriate fashion sense and the virtual trendsetter that can be very disturbing. For example, how often do you see men wearing sandals with socks? If truth be told, quite a lot of them are roaming the streets in that. In fashion, wearing socks with sandals is a definite no-no. If you want to wear socks to keep yourself warm, do not use your favorite pair of sandals with it.

Another no-no in men’s fashion are novelty ties and fancy designs on men’s t-shirts such as smiley faces, hearts, shamrocks and the like. They are cute indeed, but they are more appropriate when printed on a greeting card than on a t-shirt to be worn by a naturally good-looking guy!

You may think that wearing clothes with practically larger than life designer labels is stylish, but it’s not. You do not have to scream to the whole world that you are wearing a branded shirt or a pair of pants or something else. That is definitely not classy and totally unfashionable. So unless you want to be tagged as a billboard coming to life, you’d better avoid wearing clothes with huge designer labels printed on them.

If you are still keeping a pair of chunky shoes, especially the ones with square toes, it’s about time to get a little bit generous and give it up to charity. Though they were very popular about a decade ago, chunky shoes clearly look outdated in these times. So, if you do not want to look like you are behind the times, then don’t make the impression that you are.

You may want to look trendy while clubbing with friends and it is possible that you will go for something that is flashy or glittery. You should know, then, that in men’s fashion, glittery and shiny shirts are considered fashion offenders. Try a black t-shirt that fits you perfectly instead. You’ll look more of a man this way than someone from outer space.

Finally, avoid clothes that are way too loose for you or too tight for comfort. Choose shirts that are form-fitting and you will have girls running after you.
